Target English Training on the job – for the job

Intensive seminars of 2 – 5 days are an extremely effective method of rapidly enhancing performance over a short period. This form of training achieves its full potential when the contact phase of the seminar is seen as the cornerstone of a blended learning program incorporating electronic media, self-learning units and tele-coaching support.

Target runs 3 basic types of seminar solutions.  These training solutions are:

Professional Area specific, focusing on the specific language requirements of sectors such as HR, logistics, finance, purchasing, development etc.

Communication Skills based, focusing on the abilities required to perform specific tasks such as presenting, interviewing, report writing, facilitating etc.

Language Competency oriented, focusing on raising the general level of communicative competency in the corporate field (CEF-based levels).

 
Training solutions generally incorporate a combination of at least two of these elements. For example:
 
- Telephone and email skills for purchasing at CEF level B1
- Report writing for auditors at CEF level C1+ 
- CEF level B2 for logistics providers  
 

Target runs programs for specific individual clients as closed seminars or, under the auspices of professional associations (Deutsche Logistik Akademie – DLA, Deutsches Institut für Interne Revision – DIIR) as open seminars.

 
A seminar can be designed as: - a stand alone unit to meet a specific skill decifit, or
- a module in an on-going training program
A seminar can be run: - in-house, or
- off-site at client-selected locations (seminar hotels)
