Take care

Without a preposition, ‘take care’ means ‘be careful.’ For example: Take care while crossing the road.

Take care of

  1. We can take care of a person (usually a child or sick person) for example: I took care of my daughter when she was sick.
  2. We can also take care of a situation, which means to deal with the situation, for example: There is a problem with the computer, but I’ll take care of it.

Care about

We care about something when it is important or interesting to us, for example: I don’t care about football / She cares about me. And lastly, I don’t care is a short answer to say that something is really unimportant to us.
