Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI)

What is it?

One of the most popular psychometric assessment tools in the world, the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® (MBTI®) personality inventory is based on the work of Carl Jung. The MBTI® is designed to help people understand how they perceive the world and make decisions, by assessing their psychological preferences. By understanding more about your own preferences, you build insight into what energizes you and what drains your energy in your work with others.

MBTI profles are generated from sixteen possible results, based on four pairs of preferences:

  • Extraversion (E) or Introversion (I)
  • Sensing (S) or Intuition (N)
  • Thinking (T) or Feeling (F)
  • Judging (J) or Perceiving (P)
